I DO MY CREDIT is an organization dedicated to helping people do a better job of spending, saving, and using credit more wisely.
I DO MY CREDIT, also known as, www.iDOMYCREDIT.com
In this modern world of charge cards and the wide availability of credit are many various businesses and organizations dedicated to collecting and reporting (to people who will pay for the information) data on our individual credit and debt repayment history. In the course of this activity, now highly automated with a nationwide network of reporting offices and subscribers plus millions of credit files on consumers and businesses alike, the right information can get into the wrong file and often still does.
It soon became apparent that this business of reporting credit history could stand a little fairness and Congress enacted The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) in April 1971 and an improved system has been in effect since October 1997. This established guidelines for credit bureaus, credit reporting agencies and creditors to follow in reporting our individual credit history.
The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) is the name of the new law which amended and extended the FCRA.

It also features a redesigned front and back cover.
Included in the Guide is a listing of consumer credit rights, step-by-step instructions on how to correct mistakes, how to remove information belonging to another individual, and how to obtain free credit reports year round, a new right granted to consumers under FACTA.
Other helpful information in the Guide is about the credit scoring process and credit inquiries, help in obtaining first-time credit and what steps to take to boost credit scores and credit ratings.
